The road to improvement is never easy. Anyone who has achieved anything in life will be the first to tell you it has been a bumpy road, often filled with more hardships than successes. This is why the accomplishment of reaching your goals and actually seeing yourself become better, is so sweet. It is also why so few feel that quitting or taking the easy road is so much more appealing, and thus, those who succeed are that much more accomplished.
That being said, THIS is why our August member of the month is Mrs. Jessica Roberts-Grant. This girl comes into the gym every chance she gets, sometimes TWICE a day, in an effort to better herself. Her accomplishments don’t really need to be spelled out because they’re pretty dang obvious (have you seen her muscles lately?!) She also recently got her license as a speech language pathologist, which only makes her more amazing. This girl has come so far since her first day back at Swink. She comes into each workout with a determination and fire that can’t be ignored. She is inspiring to work out next to or watch work out. She puts herself outside her comfort zone every single day, with workouts and nutrition. She has gotten strong, fierce, and we are SO glad to honor this friend as our August MOM! Jess has been going strong since the Open.
