Member of the Month – February 

 


A lot of time the energy you had when you start something wears off after the “newness” of it fades.  We can all relate to this in the gym.  You come in with determination, drive and commitment, but it can start to waver when you realize how hard it will be to reach your goals.  Brandon Unruh, our February Member of the Month, is the exception to this rule.  Brandon started with us back in November and he hit the ground RUNNING! (Literally, this guy is a speedy fella!)  He has been crushing it since day one.  He hasn’t wavered…he has gotten STRONGER in his determination and drive.  He is a great role model to those coming in looking for weight loss and overall improvement in health.  He works hard and gives 110% every day, and well, the proof is in the pudding.  We wish we had a before and after to show you this guy’s transformation.  We can’t wait to see what he does as he continues here at Swink…ya’ll better watch out for when he starts over in Fundamentals!  Here’s a little more from our February MOM:

Hi I’m Brandon and I have to say Swink has made me enjoy working out again! Since November I’ve been trying to bust my butt and it has paid off! I’ve lost 20 pounds and I’ve been having fun doing it ever since I started the SWEAT class! But besides me sweating all the time… I intern at Duprey Studio Recordings in Dallas learning to be an Audio Engineer! I also work setting up shows for concerts and conferences. Music has always been my second passion with being a dad to my 2 year old son Mason as the first! He is cuter than the Gerber baby…like way cuter. Funny and way too smart for his own good. If you get to meet him you will know why! I just want to say thanks to the Swink family for pushing me past my limit! I always love when I go up there and also can’t wait til it’s over. 🙂

P.S. I totally thought yall were trying to tell me you chose me as Swink Mom of February!

What is your favorite think about Swink?

 It’s like the weird workout family I never had!

What’s your favorite movement/workout? 

My “favorite” movement is ring rows

What’s your least favorite?

Whatever Andre adds weight to, lol!

What’s  your favorite clean meal/snack?

Chicken and steamed vegetables with Slap Yo Mama seasoning!

What’s your favorite cheat meal?

All of them, but Cajun food if I can only pick one.

What advice would you give to someone new to Swink?

Keep on keeping on cause trust me it’s worth it.
